Mountain West Dairy Services was founded in 2001 by Craig Johansen. They are based in Idaho and Montana but service many of the western states. They are dealers for the following companies: DeLaval, GEA, Boumatic, Afi-Milk, Mueller, Anderson Instrument, Roto-Mix, SUMA, and Milk-Rite.

Craig has always enjoyed the dairy industry. He started his own dairy in Preston Idaho in 1994 and about the same time he started doing service work for local dairy service company. In 2000, Craig saw the need to expand his horizons and he began doing dairy service work in the Idaho Falls area.
